King’s Bench Reports
These law reports are part of our Miscellaneous Manuscripts collection, nos. 133-138. The series dates from Michaelmas 1736 to Hilary 1751 and were written by an unknown hand with a duplicate copy of the first volume. The reporter was called to the Bar in Hilary term 1741 (MS. Misc. 135, p. 481)
The name “H. Partridge” is inscribed on the flyleaf of Volume Ia which is probably Henry Partridge of Middle Temple (admitted in 1720, called to the Bar in 1731, became a bencher in 1757) or his son (admitted in 1757, called to the bar in 1770, appointed King’s Counsel in 1787).
Volumes Ia, Ib, II and III have been digitised so far – Volumes IV and V are in progress.
